Can I mix Shimano and SRAM at 12-speed?

No. At 12-speed the systems diverge: SRAM road uses a Flattop chain and cassette + XDR, while Shimano uses Hyperglide+ on an HG/Micro Spline body. Chains and cassettes are not interchangeable, and shifters/derailleurs have different cable pull. Stay within the same 12-speed ecosystem.

SRAM Flattop (12-speed AXS road) A proprietary SRAM chain for 12-speed AXS road groupsets (Red/Force/Rival): taller, with different links. Shimano 12-speed (HG+ / Hyperglide+) Shimano 12-speed chain/cassette. The road lines (105/Ultegra/Dura-Ace 12-speed) and MTB lines use dedicated chains.
