Shimano HG (Hyperglide)

The most widespread splined freehub body. The standard for Shimano/SRAM cassettes from 8 to 11 speeds (with some distinctions).

Notes

8/9/10-speed cassettes share the same body. ROAD 11-speed cassettes require a wider HG body (road 11s); MTB 11-speed cassettes are designed to fit on a 10-speed-width body. Use the correct spacers.

Compatible with

Shimano/SRAM 8/9/10/11-speed cassettes (with the appropriate body)

NOT compatible with

SRAM XD/XDR cassettes
Shimano Micro Spline cassettes
